Irish Festival and Australia Day!

Summer is in full swing in Jindabyne at the momment! The lake is absolutely beautiful for swimming in, you could mistake it for your bathtub. Jindabyne has just finished hosting the Australian Water-Ski Racing Championships which were great to watch. Thredbo is hosting the Blues Festival this weekend and we have the Irish Festival in Jindabyne starting on Fri Jan 22 for three days followed by Australia Day Celebrations! If there was ever a reason to explore the Snowy Mountains in summer now is the time.

Spring is coming to an end in Jindabyne. To be honest this spring has felt more like summer with temperatures in the 30's! The lake has been beautiful and is warming up nicely.

Well the snow just doesn't stop falling with the way things are going we will be skiing at Christmas. Winter is now here and the snow is falling. We have had more than 39cm over the past 2 nights and the forecast predicts that the cold weather is set to stick around for the next few days which means MORE SNOW! Its shaping up to be a great cover for the school holidays. So with rooms left for the 2nd week of the school holidays for those of you who were thinking about taking that last minute holiday the Alpine Gables is the place to be.
